Extended Producer Responsibility
EU Packaging Directive & Single-Use Packaging Waste
As part of our commitment to the environment – and in full compliance with both European and Danish legislation on producer responsibility for packaging waste – Randers Gears has, since 2024, been registered with and reported packaging waste volumes to Dansk Producentansvar (DPA).
We are part of a collective compliance scheme and fully adhere to:- EU Directive 2018/852 of 30 May 2018 amending Directive 94/62/EC on packaging and packaging waste (consolidated version)
- Danish Executive Order No. 1146 of 29 September 2025 on extended producer responsibility for packaging
- Collective compliance scheme: Since 2024, we have been a member of a collective compliance scheme and have reported our single-use packaging waste volumes.
- DPA Producer Responsibility Register: We have reported our packaging waste to the DPA since the first reporting period opened on 1 April 2024.
At Randers Gears, we take our environmental responsibility seriously. We actively work to reduce the environmental impact of our packaging through conscious design, reuse, and recycling – fully aligned with the objectives of the EU Packaging Directive.
By reporting regularly to Dansk Producentansvar (DPA), we ensure complete transparency and contribute to a more circular and sustainable economy, where resources are used efficiently, and waste is minimized.
For us, it’s not just about meeting legal requirements – it’s about taking responsibility, acting sustainably, and making a real difference for the environment and for future generations.
